you have nothing to hide? I'll bet you ten dollars that you do!
Anybody who makes statements like
"if you have nothing to hide then why would you worry about
your privacy being compromised" or similar sentiments are beyond
ignorant and clearly have no understanding of history or politics.
It is easy to hold values against something which
has no relevance to your life at present.
However, I ask this: "If you really have nothing to hide,
and you believe in serving justice, let me insert this LARGE GPS
tracking unit into your rectum so I can monitor your whereabouts,
activities, and the composition of your stool for the rest of your life
to ensure that you are not a criminal.
Although uncomfortable, this rectal probe allows us to make sure
that you are not a criminal, and since you have nothing to hide,
you WILL allow it.
If you don't want this probe in your bowels, you will be prosecuted
for suspicion and we will put it DEEP in there anyway pursuant to the
'If you REALLY have nothing to hide, show us your rectum' law."
I'm sure you all have nothing to hide, but if you REALLY have nothing to hide,
you'd be a hypocrite if you didn't insert this rectal probe...

Please arrange the contents of your wallet, snap a pic with your digital camera,
and post the image to picasa or flickr, you tube, myspace and right here at mindsay
with public access.
Then snap some pictures of your recent credit card bills and post them.
Then take pictures of the inside your home and post them, along with
your social security number and your debit card PIN.
I promise I won't use the info maliciously.
You have nothing to hide, right?
The deal is supposed to be:
If the government has probable cause to investigate a specific person,
they can get a warrent and order that person to show them the possible evidence.
Otherwise, the government has to mind their own business.
It's disheartening to see how frightened so many of us have become.
Freedom and privacy mean yes, sometimes people get hurt or even killed.
Personally, I'd rather risk being hurt while living free
than live "safe" under constant state control.
Between Personal Security and Personal Freedom
the votes have been cast and security won.
Someday soon we will be convinced by double-speak
that little chips in the body are vital to that security.
But dont worry about it........
Just go buy some nice clothes and and party on!

Or do you just run into more stupid people because fewer
stupid people are getting eaten by bears?" - Bill Maher
When marshal law clamped on Poland (Dec 13, 1981),
the hundreds (maybe thousands) of people who were swept
off into detention camps were not swept off the streets;
the secret police had all the names and addresses and charges
*ready* and they came to people's homes
(in once case, they even called a grandma to come and get her
10yr old grandson, because both parents were arrested).
When Musharraf nailed hundreds of lawyers,
most of them were not nailed in street protests,
either; they were taken from their homes;
the lists were ready and waiting for the right moment.
And y'all are still wondering why Bush malAdministration might want
all that secretly-acquired info and what they need it for???
There's nothing new under the sun...
Go watch "Other People's Lives" (Germany,'06).
Go watch "Black Book" (Netherlands, '06).
Whenever a government gathers info about its citizens,
unbeknownst to them, it's never, ever for a benevolent reason...
If we continue to accumulate only power and not wisdom,
we will surely destroy ourselves. -Carl Sagan
"There are four boxes to use in the defense of liberty:
soap, ballot, jury, ammo. Use in that order." Ed Howdershelt
It isn't shameful to vote your own self-interest instead of
the interests of multi-national corporations--iceman
We must all hang together, or most assuredly
we shall all hang separately. - Benjamin Franklin
We are all criminals until we restore Habeas Corpus,
empty secret gulags, end torture and illegal wiretaps.
"Let every lover of liberty, every well-wisher to his posterity,
swear by the blood of the revolution never to violate, in the least
particular, the laws of the country and never to tolerate their
violation by others.
As the patriots of '76 did to the support of the declaration of independence,
so to the support of the constitution and laws, let every American pledge his life,
his prosperity and his sacred honor.
Let every man remember that to violate the laws is to trample on the blood
of his fathers and to tear the charter of his own and his children's liberty.
Let reverence for the laws be breathed by every American mother to the lisping
babe that prattles on her lap. Let it be taught in schools, in seminaries, and in colleges.
Let it be preached from the pulpit, proclaimed in the legislative halls, and enforced
in courts of justice. In short, let it become the political religion of the nation."
- Abraham Lincoln
